Your journey begins with a pickup from your accommodation by one of our friendly driver-guides, who will take you to the V&A Waterfront. Before your ferry departs, you’ll have a chance to explore the Waterfront’s lively atmosphere — browse the shops, grab a coffee, or simply enjoy the harbour views.
From there, you’ll board the ferry across Table Bay to Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela and many other political prisoners were held during the struggle against apartheid. As you sail, take in the striking views of Cape Town and Table Mountain from the water. Once on the island, a former political prisoner will lead you through the prison grounds, sharing powerful stories of endurance, hope, and freedom.
