Our 3 day Hermanus adventure tour is sure to get the adrenaline pumping. Included on this tour is Shark Cage diving in Gansbaai which is renowned as one of the best places in the world to encounter the Great White Shark or you can enjoy the dunes of the Grootbos Nature Reserve on the unique Fatbikes designed to ease over the loose sand,  Ziplining in Elgin through the breathtaking canyons Hottentots Holland mountain range and Kayak in the word famous Walker Bay know for its abundance of sea life especially the Southern Right Whale (in season) as well as dolphin, seals, and even some penguins if you are lucky.

These tours are weather dependant and as such the days may change to get the best days suited to the activity 

 

Itinerary

Day 1:

We kick off our Overberg and Hermanus trip with an early morning pickup, giving us a good head start for the day. First stop: Elgin. It’s a beautiful area surrounded by mountains and forests, and it’s where we get the blood pumping with an exciting zipline adventure. The whole experience takes about four hours, and it’s a great way to start things off with a bit of a thrill and some incredible views.

After the zipline, we take it easy and head straight to your accommodation in Hermanus. Once you’re settled in, we head out to explore the town. Hermanus has a laid-back feel with its little cafés, art galleries, and coastal views. It’s the kind of place where you can just wander, grab a coffee, and enjoy the fresh sea air. If it’s whale season, we might even spot a few from the cliff paths. It’s a chilled way to wrap up the day after all the action.

Day 2:

We head out early to Gaansbaai for an awesome Fatbike experience. This is the ultimate ride from near Grootbos nature reserve down the mountain to the top of the Sand Dunes. The trail to the dunes is special, running on a narrow sandy horse trail through the Fynbos. For others looking for something more adventurous and seeing that we in the Great White Shark Capital of South Africa, there is a shark cage diving option which is an absolutely amazing experience! Lunch will be had at the Marine dynamics restaurant. We explore the coastline on route back to Hermanus and return to your accommodation where you can chill for the rest of the late afternoon and freshen up for dinner.

Day 3:

After checking out, we make our way down to Walker Bay Harbour for a sea kayaking experience that’s honestly one of the highlights of the trip. It’s not every day you get to paddle out into the open ocean, and if the timing’s right, we might even catch a glimpse of humpback or southern right whales just doing their thing out there. Being that close to nature out on the water—it’s something special.

By the time we’re back on land, you’ll definitely have an appetite, so we stop for lunch at one of two local favourites. Either Fusion, where the vibe is laid-back and the bistro-style meals hit the spot, or Bientang’s Cave, which is built into a cave right on the coastline—great seafood, great views, and a really cool setting.

Then it’s time to head back to Cape Town, but we save one of the best parts for last. The drive back takes us along Clarence Drive, which is easily one of the most scenic coastal drives in the country. Think winding roads, dramatic cliffs, and endless ocean views, just the kind of drive where you want to roll the windows down and soak it all in.
