Fairest Cape Meander was established in 2006 by the current business owner and senior Tour Guide Cathy Oosterwyk. In recent years Fairest Cape Meander has grown exponentially, with the addition of her husband, son daughter and son-in-law it has become a is a family-owned business. Cathy has a proven track record in Tour Guiding and very passionate about her country. Fairest Cape Meander continues to make significant investments in developing other Tour Guides by sharing the workload with them.
All our tours are conducted by professional – tour guides in air-conditioned touring cars, coaches, and minibusses. These vehicles are housed at our depo and offices which are situated only 15 minutes away from Cape Town International airport
Services for the independent traveler and private tours: At Fairest Cape Meander we recognize that there are many experienced travelers who wish to visit Southern Africa but prefer not to travel as part of a group. We offer a range of services to meet the needs of these Independent Travellers.
We can design a complete detailed itinerary, book accommodation, car hire, and flights and offer advice on how to make the most of your visit. We have the experience and trained staff to create a holiday to suit your pace and budget.

Cathy has been a guide in the Western Cape for over 13 years and has extensive experience within Cape Town, Garden Route and the West Coast. Cathy is the principle guide at FCM Tours and love everything about our beautiful country and enjoying show casing our heritage and landscapes. She has designed some amazing tours over the past few years and has ensured that all cultures and religions are taken into account when we explore the history of South Africa.
Cathy was one of the first operators to offer a day tour to Cape Agulhas which is the true “Southern Most Tip of Africa” . Cathy is also the Chairlady of the Women Tourism Western Cape Chapter and takes great pride in her role which has also put her in a position to ensure that Women and SMME’s gets the attention and support they need to excel in this industry.
Gavin looks after the marketing and admin functions and also ensures that clients needs are met with regards to what they want out of their stay and travels in South Africa. Gavin loves putting itineraries and bespoke tours together for clients and ensures that exciting and “off the beaten path” experiences are always considered as part of their travels.
Gavin also jumps in where ever his needed be it with airport transfers and meet & greet requirements. Gavin loves the outdoors and partaking and watching all sports particularly Rugby, Cricket & Soccer. An avid surfer, family man and adventure seeker!
Nathan spent years in the insurance industry and decided that his skills and passion for our country would be better utilised within the tourism industry. Nathan loves the outdoors and is very sporty, he often takes part in major running events and is an avid surfer and family man.

Vivienne Samuel manages all Operational and Administration functions at FCM Tours and is instrumental in ensuring that our services are second to none. Vivienne has over 14 years’ experience in the industry. Prior to joining the family business, Viv worked for a high-end Safari company and gained a wealth of knowledge and experience which is a massive asset to the company and our clients. With FCM Tour’s growing portfolio of clients, Vivienne ensures that quotes and itineraries are actioned, and all tour bookings and logistics are put in place.
